Fullers London Pride, Dark Star Hophead and often an additional associated brand beer are available in this 16th century village inn. Situated opposite Jane Austen's house it has been Chawton's pub since the time of the Spanish Armada. It has recently (spring 2024) undergone an internal refurbishment under new licensees which has changed little but enhanced its period charm.There is a large secluded rear garden with extensive seating and cycle parking. Popular with walkers, muddy boots and dogs are welcome.
